Many of you have plans that renew on January 1.  We usually get a lot of questions about what happens when plan years renew.   Below is a post that goes over all the details.  Feel free to add any additional questions in the comments.

What Happens When My Plan Year Renews

Enhanced Go365 Statement Now Available on the Mobile App

The Go365 mobile app now has a new and improved Go365 Statement.  You can still view the statement by tapping on the link on the main dashboard.  You will immediately see that it looks quite different.

App Statement 1.png

The statement now includes a calendar.  The dots on the calendar indicate an activity was awarded points on that given day and the category of the activities.

You’ll also see circular icons next to each listing that shows what category the activity is from.

Wait, there’s more! If you tap a “Daily Workout” listing, you will see all the workout data from a given day.  So, yes, this means that your daily workout calendar is now accessible via the app.  You will be able to confirm that your workouts are transferring and use that information to determine how your daily workout points were awarded.

These enhancements were added to the most recent version of our iPhone app on August 31.  The next Android update will include the changes as well.

A lot of questions come up when a new plan year begins.  What happens to my Points?  What happens to my Status?  What about my Bucks?  These are all great questions and we hope to address them below.   Here is what happens when your plan year renews.

When a new plan year begins, your Points technically reset back to 0.  Keep in mind that Points are what determine your status level and can’t be spend.  Reverting back to 0 happens every year with points and does not take away from your rewards potential.

10% Carryover Credit

To get you started off on the right foot, you will be awarded a 10% carryover credit based on the total Points earned in the previous plan year.  Example:

Previous Year Points Total: 20,000

New Plan Year 10% Carryover Credit: 2,000

The 10% carryover credit applies to ALL of the points earned on the plan as a whole.  This means that the Points earned by the subscriber, kids, spouses, and adult dependents are all lumped into one total.  The 10% is based on that entire total.  The carryover credit Points will be credited to the subscriber.  You will not see them as a line item on the statement.

Status Levels

When Go365 launched, there was a change in how Status Levels worked.  Here’s a post that discusses that fact.  Your status level will reset to Blue at the start of a new year. There is no Reward Status in Go365.

As the number of adults on the policy increase, the amount of Points needed for each level also increases. Below is a representation of how that will be set up.

*Please note: If you end your plan year in Blue Status, any Bucks previously earned and the 10% Carryover Points will not roll over into the new plan year. This includes Bucks earned from previous plan years.

Bucks are what you spend for Rewards in Go365.  You will earn 1 Buck for each Point earned. Any Bucks earned throughout the plan year, will expire according to your benefits. If you have any Bucks that are expiring at the end of the plan year, you will have a notification next to your Bucks total.

Every plan year, there is a max of 30,000 Bucks able to be earned by each adult on the policy. This would include the following.

  • Bucks earned from Points
  • Bonus Bucks
  • Bucks from carry over Points

*Carry over Bucks, are received when you get the 10% carry over Points at your plan year renewal.

Bonus Bucks

When you move up to Silver, Gold, or Platinum Status, you will earn Bonus Bucks!  See the chart below for a full explanation of Bucks you can earn with each Status Level.  Maintaining the Status Level earned in the previous plan year will allow you to double the Bonus Bucks when you hit that level again!

Earn Points Again!

Some activities in Go365 are limited to earning Points once per plan year.  Other activities may also have slightly different yearly limits.  Well, because of the new plan year, you can do those activities again.  Here are a few examples of activities that you can complete again to earn points.

  • Health Assessment
  • Biometrics Screening
  • Courses*
  • Conversations*
  • Calculators

*Need to be tied to a Recommended Activity to earn Points

Biometric Screening Credit

You may notice an unexpected bump in your Points total at the turn of a new plan year.  In many cases, this is linked to a healthy living credit.  This credit of Points happens when you submitted in-range biometrics results in the previous plan year.  The screenings eligible for this upfront credit are blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose.

Since those three screenings don’t often significantly change from year to year, you can receive your points for them at the start of a new year simply by submitting in-range results in the previous plan year.  This means that you receive the Points for both the screening AND in-range results.  Here’s an example:

In-range screenings in previous plan year:

Blood Pressure Points – 400 Points

In-Range Blood Pressure – 400 Points

Cholesterol Screening – 400 Points

In-Range Cholesterol – 400 Points

Total Points for these in-range screenings -  1600 Points

In-Range credits awarded at start of new year 1600 Points

You’ll see entries on your statement for both the screening and in-range results.  They will be assigned a date that corresponds with the start of your new plan year.

Please note: Due to changes in federal law, an adult dependent will not earn credit for completing the Biometric Screening, Health Assessment or any other activities that include genetic information. Please see Go365 - Adult Dependents  for more detailed information.

Changes or Updates to Members on your Policy

It is not uncommon to make changes to your policy during open enrollment or during the plan year due to special circumstances. This could include adding or removing a spouse, dependent or child. Below is a break down of what will happen to your Go365 policy.

Adding a Spouse or Adult Dependent (18+)

- Points and Bucks earned by the spouse or adult dependent will add towards the family total on the policy.

- Each adult will have their own 30,000 Buck max for each plan year.

- Adding an adult, spouse or dependent, will cause the number of Points needed to reach the different Status Levels to increase.

- When adding an adult, the Earned Status Level with Go365 will not decrease, your Go365 Statement will reflect the adjusted number of Points needed for the next Status Level.

Adding a Child (under 18)

- The child will be listed under Go365 Kids, activities will not change the number of Points needed to reach the different Status Levels.

Removing a Spouse or Adult Dependent (18+)

- The Go365 Points earned by the spouse or adult dependent will be removed from the family Points total

- The Go365 Bucks earned  by the spouse or adult dependent will remain the same and not be removed from the total balance

- The Go365 Points needed to reach the different Status Levels will likely change due to the threshold needed per adult.

- Carry-over Points earned from the spouse or adult dependent will be removed for the next renewal period.

Removing a Child (under 18)

- The Go365 Highest Earned Status will remain the same

- The Go365 Points earned by the child are removed from the family Points total

- The Go365 Bucks will remain within the total balance

You will more than likely not notice a difference if change occurs at plan year renewal. If the change happens during the course of the plan year, you may see a reflection in the Points and Status Level.

For more information on the Status Levels with Go365, please look under the Status Level section or this post.

Your plan year can renew will renew according to your benefits, and that can be different for many members. If you have a question about when your plan year renews, please feel free to contact your Human Resources department, Benefits administrator or follow Contact Us  for more information.

What is happening? Go365 app users on the iPhone are experiencing the app crashing upon login.

Why is this happening? The latest Apple iOs update made some changes that the Go365 app is not yet fully compatible with.  This is causing the Go365 app to crash because it isn’t able to read all of the HealthKit data.

Who is it affecting? Any users of iPhones running the latest iOs (10 and above) versions AND are sharing sleep data from HealthKit.

What should I do if this is affecting me? The Go365 app will be updated next week to account for the iOs changes.  You can wait for the update or you can change some settings in HealthKit.  You’ll need to disable sleep from being transferred to Go365.  Here’s how to do that:

  • Open the Apple HealthKit app
  • Go to Sources
  • Select Go365
  • Flip the switch next to Sleep Analysis

Running apps, RunKeeper

The Go365 program (and HumanaVitality before it) requires that workouts be verified.  Step trackers verify workouts by sensing and recording movement.  Heart rate monitors have a sensor that can count heartbeats.  Calorie counting watches/wearables use GPS to determine movement and calculate calories burned based on your weight.  In the case of Runkeeper, qualified workouts are to be recorded by using the phone’s GPS.

Runkeeper workouts that aren’t verified via the phone’s GPS are not qualified for Points in the Go365 program.  That means you would need to record a workout outside in order to have the GPS record and verify the workout.  Manually logged and tracked workouts are not eligible for Points.

We understand that many individuals were inadvertently receiving Points for manually tracked Runkeeper workouts. This glitch in our workout system was corrected in early February. As of then, individuals who are manually logging workouts in Runkeeper will not receive points.

The rules of workouts have not changed.  Our intent has always been to accept verified data for workouts.  We apologize for any confusion caused by the glitch that was awarding points.   If your workouts are being affected by this system fix, please consider trying another compatible fitness device.

With Go365, there are no longer status level discounts within the Mall.  Since status levels don’t affect your rewards, there is no longer a Rewards Status level shown to you.  The Status Level you see for yourself on the Go365 dashboard is the earned status for your current plan year.

So, if your status doesn’t look correct for some reason, it might be that you were used to seeing the Rewards Status listed.  You will now see the status based on the Points earned in your current plan year.

If you are at Blue Status, you probably just renewed your plan year.   You can move out of Blue Status by The specified item was not found..
