fitbit won't connect

I have to disconnect and reconnect my fitbit each day during this challenge, or else my steps don't sync. I went to unconnect and reconnect it tonight, and it won't reconnect. It says it is, but it isn't listed as my device. Also my app won't open, it keeps shutting down. I'm nervous my steps won't connect, what do I do?
