I have challenges that I complete at the end of August and my steps are not right.

I’m having this same issue again.
It appears that we have not received any step data from Apple since 10/8. Can you please sign into your Go365 mobile app? Let me know once you have done so.
Perfect! I can verify that your steps have now been received for 10/9, and some steps from today as well (10/10).
Once the steps are displaying on your account, they will be applied to active Challenges within 24-48 hours.
Oct 3-5 is missing too.
