PLEASE send the 2-step verification code to my EMAIL address. I cannot access my site and you are sending the link to my ID, not to an email!

I have been on CHAT and on a phone call - have had my email address changed, twice. We can access my husband's site but not mine. I continue to get a message that the Verification Code has been sent ----- to my ID! This is ridiculous.
