Every time I go to use the app on my Android (since the last couple of phone updates) it won't recognize my device and makes me enter a code. It isn't until I log in that it syncs my steps. How can I resolve it?

Same issue. Google Pixel 3XL.Every single time I open the app, I get hit with the "New Device" bs. Super annoying. This is a big problem.

My issue has been resolved. I had replied back a week or so ago. I keep getting messages on this thread, I thought because of others still have the same issue. Mine is fine for now though.
