Every time I go to use the app it doesn't recognize my phone and has to send a verification code.

I am in the same boat! I have a support ticket in and hopefully this will be fixed! I thought it was fixed this morning when I logged into the app without needing a code, but I just logged into the app again and had to enter a code! The same has been true to log into the website!
The last 2 days, I haven't had to enter a code! YAYY!! Let's hope this continues!
