Pertaining to this answer my wife and myself have already purchased the fitbit without having this knowledge. In fact she just used her G0365 mall bucks to purchase an upgraded fitbit. We would like to send that one back still packaged and obtain the Garmin which we would receive all of the benefits that are available. It seems there was sort of a coercion to entice the customer to obtain a fitbit without knowing the intricacies around it capabilities and that we would possibly miss out on points by not having the Garmin device. I believe we should be offered the opportunity to utilize a device that does not require adding and additional app and purchasing a separate device.
